About the event

Over recent months there has been speculation about the revival of ‘Total Place’, to tackle issues around quality and cost in local services following the General Election.

Total Place was a programme introduced near the end of the last Labour government as a ‘whole area’ strategy for joining up public services. Its objective was to test and demonstrate how public services could be improved and how cost savings could be achieved through collaboration between local partners within a defined ‘place’.

This webinar will unpack Total Place, examine its strengths, weaknesses, and valuable lessons that can be applied in anticipation of this collaborative model’s potential resurgence.

Chaired by MV’s John Copps, the discussion will feature insights from an expert panel, including:

– Fenella Beckman, Director of Housing Strategy for Lewisham Council, and former Total Place Programme Manager in Lewisham
– Nuala O’Rourke, Former Programme Manager for Total Place in Greater Manchester and Warrington
– Elizabeth Roe, Consultant at Mutual Ventures
