CCIN Members’ Update May 2019

Cllr Sharon Taylor OBE- Chair of the CCIN & Leader of Stevenage Borough CouncilThis month we’re delighted to announce that Rochdale will be hosting the 2019 CCIN Annual Conference on Wednesday 2nd October, please get the date in your diary.  We’re also asking again for you to submit Evidence to the Greater Manchester Co-operative Commission which is looking at Housing, Digital Economy, Transport and Co-operative Business Development.  We know that CCIN Members have a lot to share in these areas and we’re keen to get this registered with the Commission.

Also in this issue we’re asking you to support a Call by Homes England for extension to the Community Housing Fund, which is looking at the potential demand for long-term funding of community-led housing.   There’s also a look at how a Co-operative University differs from other providers.  We also have a great blog from Jonathan Bland, EOC Member, who’s just returned from Barcelona looking at promotion of co-operatives and the wider social economy.
