2024 Cooperative Case Studies
- May 2024
The Covid-19 pandemic has exposed the stark inequalities that exist in society, such as limited access to services, unstable employment, substandard housing, and increased risk of infection and mortality from the virus itself. Parallel to this, the #BlackLivesMatter movement highlighted the fact that many people do not feel included or protected by state institutions.
As Tameside & Glossop looks to build back better and fairer, we have taken steps to ensure that we are utilising evidence and research, complemented by the voices of our own communities, in order to place diversity and inclusion at the centre of all that we do. A key part of this has been the establishment of the Tameside & Glossop Inequalities Reference Group (IRG).
