Principles met

Through the formation of the Cooperative Neighbourhoods programme, Stevenage Borough Council has formed partnerships between elected members, council officers, stakeholders and community groups to focus on the needs of the community.  The six cooperative neighbourhood areas each have a dedicated team that concentrates specifically on the development and improvement of their area through community engagement and direct delivery.  These teams work together on the co-production of a variety of projects, initiatives and developments across the town.  Focusing on community collaboration and engagement, community wealth building and supporting local community groups and organisations, the Cooperative neighbourhoods programme ensures healthy community relationships across the town.
