Glasgow was one of the earliest UK signatories to several EU-wide pledges on climate change and has recently worked with other European partners to deliver an Energy and Carbon Masterplan.  This is a key framework for leading Glasgow through the transition to a low carbon economy and it is a major legacy of the city’s leadership that will guide the city’s future development for decades to come.
