Event Summary

About the event

The UK public sector spends over £290 billion per year on goods and services. For local authorities, procurement provides a key opportunity to deliver benefits locally to the communities that they serve.

An effective procurement service can be a key tool in an organisation’s success. Separately, where a procurement service is not optimised or commercially minded, this can lead to overly complex and bureaucratic services and internal tensions with services.

Peopletoo and Human Engine are jointly hosting a session to explore how local government can use procurement and commissioning to deliver both commercial and social value.

We will be joined by a panel of experts and the key areas of discussion will include:

  • Integrating commissioning, procurement and contract management
  • Delivering policy through procurement for example social value, climate change, Brexit etc.

Increasing commercial and social value through procurement, commissioning and contract management
