Event Summary

About the event

After 3 years the Future Co-ops conference is back!

Since we last gathered the whole world has changed; Covid, war in Ukraine, and a cost-of-living crisis.

Future Co-ops 2023 – From Crisis to Co-op #FC2C will investigate what role co-ops can play in supporting people through the cost-of-living crisis. We know that co-ops have a role to play in easing the situation but we’re not always sure how to translate that into action.

This two-day event will explore the ways the crisis is affecting people; fuel poverty, access to decent homes, food, digital poverty, and what co-operative solutions there are.

We know we can’t do it alone so the conference will hear from anti-poverty campaigners about their work and what the co-operative movement can do to work with them. We’ll also hear from other organisations who are already working to alleviate the impact of the crisis, what can we learn from them, what can we offer them, what should we be doing.

Join us to explore ways that co-ops can work with other organisations to help support people through the cost of living crisis.

Could your organisation, campaign group or charity work with co-operatives to support your aims? Or could the creation of a new co-op help you deliver for your stakeholders?

If so, From Crisis to Co-op will help you link with others who are trying to provide solutions at this time of crisis.
