Event Summary
About the event
As a Network, we support the creation of developing Regional Community Banks and welcome the positive impact these new banking models can have on local communities. However, decentralisation of the sector is not easy. Attracting investment, getting a banking licence and attracting qualified staff are just three challenges in fulfilling this vision.
It is eighteen months since we first heard from representatives of community banking projects from across the UK at our Annual Conference in February 2021; we’re inviting them back to update us on progress and consider the next steps. As a network of councils who wish to grow the cooperative economy, this is a good opportunity for members to get directly involved.
We hope you will join us. Regional Community Banking is an important pillar of the Community Wealth Building agenda.
