Two Policy Labs Launched at the LGA Conference 2024

  • 30th Oct 2024

We're delighted to announce the launch of two new Policy Lab reports at the LGA Annual Conference & Exhibition in Harrogate last week. Since 2016, the Network has invested more than £400k in policy projects to address some of the challenges cash-strapped local authorities face. We know that by working with our communities, we can create innovative cooperative policy solutions to these challenges.

The reports were:

  • Cooperative Values-Driven AI – led by Wigan Council and supported by Mutual Ventures
  • Councils’ Coop Development Toolkit – led by Kirklees Council and match-funded by Power to Change

This was the first time we’d arranged an event on an Exhibition Stand, and we were delighted to see so many leaders, councillors, and senior officers there for the launch.

Over the next few months, we will organise online events for all members to learn about these two important ground-breaking projects.
